a principled voters delima.
This year politically has been a hard year for us principled voters. As it comes to the end of the election cycle we have an ultimatum. On one hand we have the pro-choice, anti-gun candidate. On the other hand we have the so called conservative who is not completely pro-life but is pro- second amendment. If we vote for the conservative we might violate our strong pro-life stance. If we don't vote we can jeopardize every thing the real conservative is working for. So what are we supposed to do? If the conservatives lose then the socialist in power would think that the TEA parties were a joke. What are we to do? Could it be that we should sacrifice our values for a little good? Should we stand by our flag? I don't quite have an answer yet so I will get back to you guys with it. maybe we will find something in the comments?

Good questions Daniel. You have definitely put some thought into this issue. I like this blog by the way :)
ReplyDeletei am not sure if the the candidates like i described just aren't actively pro-life, like they would vote for a completely pro-life bill they just would not present it if that is the case then i could probably vote for them.
ReplyDeleteI love the quote that basically says, "duty is ours and the results belong to God". Just like the founders of our nation had no real idea whether they would win the war they had instigated or be hung; we have no script that tells us what would happen if we vote this way or don't vote this way. I think that our best course of action is to stick to the Lord's truth on the issues. If a man is not actively pro-life, but would vote on a pro-life bill; that doesn't suggest much to me about the strength of his beliefs or convictions. I too have been thinking about this subject because, as you know, I will have the privelage to vote for the first time this year! yay! :)
ReplyDeleteit is a great quote. this is a great example of why you should get involved in the primary's so you have a real choice.
ReplyDeleteThass what ahm talkin' bout brotha! Hope that the SAT is going well! See you later.
